6x delicious outdoor food

Want to eat outside? In Nijmegen, there are a lot of fun little restaurants and cafés to go to. Especially now that the sun is out more, a place outside, while still social distancing, feels almost divine! We’ll tip you the best indoor gardens or big terraces!

1. De Stadstuyn

On the edge of the city centre on the Graafseweg, you’ll find De Stadstuyn. With, as the name might tell you, a lovely city garden. During warmer days, you can spend some lovely hours outside! On their menu, you’ll mostly find Dutch, French, and vegetarian cuisine.

2. De Hemel

When the sun is out, you can properly enjoy yourself under some large trees at Restaurant de Hemel. It is the place to be for a drink with a bite to eat or for a nice dinner with your partner, friends, or family.

3. ’t Zotte Lemke

Feel like eating at a historical site with a great indoor garden? Then you can visit ‘t Zotte Lemke. According to them, going for dinner is more than just eating out, it’s a trip and is not complete without some music! That is why they generally provide live music.

4. De Concerttuin

Every Thursday through Sunday from 15.00, you can enjoy the sunny terrace of De Vereeniging: De Concerttuin. A super central place on the Keizer Karelplein. Tip: on Thursday 20 to 27 of August, there’s an Open Stage!

5. Hubert

Hubert is a creative breeding ground outside of the city centre. They don’t have a real dinner menu, but a great drink menu. For a soft price, you can fill your belly, deliciously and healthily.

6. De Achtertuin

No courtyard, but a very big backyard: De Achtertuin. In their self-built brick oven they make great pizzas. Not that big of a pizza fan? They also have delicious dishes for vegetable and meat lovers.
