Nijmegen theatres and stages
Nijmegen is home to various theatres, at which beautiful, funny and excellent shows are performed. Concertgebouw De Vereeniging is famous for its excellent acoustics.
Would you like to grab a bite to eat before a performance? You can do so at the renovated Grand Café Restaurant of De Vereeniging. The Stadsschouwburg of Nijmegen is one of the largest theatres in the Netherlands, hosting more than 100.000 visitors per year!
LUX is the largest arthouse in the Netherlands with daily film, theatre, dance and music performances, debates, festivals, and a fantastic pub and restaurant. The LUX program is quirky, controversial and inspiring.
Het Huis voor de Kunsten De Lindenberg operates on a smaller scale. De Lindenberg is the place where professionals, amateurs, students, and the public meet in cultural and artistic setting! Fancy a drink or a bite to eat? Go visit the trendy theatre bar No23.
Another very special theatre location is Theatership De Zeester. De Zeester offers cabaret, theatre and music in an intimate setting, located directly underneath the Waal bridge.
Theatre Het Badhuis at Daalseweg 262 used to be a genuine bathhouse. Since 2002, Het Badhuis has been home to Theatre group Kwatta; they make adventurous youth theatre for children.
