In Nijmegen, every Sunday is shopping Sunday. All shops are allowed to be open on Sunday, with the exception of New Year's Day, Easter Sunday, Whit Sunday and Christmas Day. On a shopping Sunday in Nijmegen, nearly all shops in the core shopping area as well as a large number of shops located in the surrounding shopping streets, are open.

Nijmegen shopping evenings in the city centre feel like fun nights out. The shopping evenings are on Thursdays. The shops in the city centre will remain open until 9 p.m. on those evenings. Around certain holidays, the shops in the centre of Nijmegen will be open for an additional number of evenings. This will give you plenty of opportunities to do your holiday shopping.
