GoShort Filmfestival: 1-10 April

The selection of the very best short films from Europe and a lot of new film talent is always central at Go Short. Located in and around arthouse LUX in Nijmegen, you'll see short films, get all your questions answered at the Q&As and experience the vibrant festival atmosphere. Iconic Festival: 7 May

At Iconic Festival, you will experience a day full of music from enthusiastic musicians who put themselves in the shoes of their icons to give away a spectacular show. Phenomenal tribute acts from the Netherlands and abroad play the best music from the past and present. Saturday 7 May 2022 in the Valkhofpark, can we see you there?

Song of Life Day: 8 May

Sing, Cry, Laugh and Admire! After two years, it is time to see each other in real life again - traditionally - on Mother's Day, 8 May. So come to the Valkhofpark and we will all make up for the two years we missed.

Music Meeting Festival: 4-6 June

Music Meeting Festival cuts across styles, genres and cultures and has been offering a stage to the best artists worldwide for over 35 years: musicians who have rarely or never been seen in the Netherlands, with new projects or in special line-ups. During the Whitsun weekend, Park Brakkenstein in Nijmegen is traditionally the venue for three days of musical encounters, with more than thirty concerts.

Lentefabriek: 5 June

Lentefabriek is Nijmegen's new spring festival and your best stepping stone to summer! Your favourite parties in Nimma come together for the first time in the open air at De Vasim during Pentecost and provide the ultimate spring feeling. And because of Whitsuntide, you are free the next day!

Drift Festival: 11 June

Drift has something to celebrate this year! They exist 20 years and want to celebrate this spring with you at the tenth Drift Festival. Are you coming to dance the feet off the floor to the electronic music at Vasim?

Down The Rabbit Hole: 1-3 July

This festival may not take place in Nijmegen, but it still feels like a Nijmegen festival and cannot be missed in this overview. This adventurous mini-holiday by the crystal-clear lake takes place around three music stages and all sorts of hidden worlds where there is infinite discovery.

Vierdaagsefeesten: 16-22 July

At the largest, freely accessible event in the Netherlands, Nijmegen will show us what she’s got: choose from over a 1000 different performances divided over 40 different stages. Whether you are into pop, classic, rock, techno or jazz, we cater to every taste. Party together with one and a half million other visitors who can be found in Nijmegen these seven days. Want to escape the busy buzz of the inner city for a while? Take a break in one of our parks, enjoy our beach or visit an exposition.

Valkhof Festival: 16-22 July

At Valkhof Festival, we roll out the red carpet for acts we think you should see. At Valkhof Festival, you are always there early, because often those names will move on to Doornroosje and other big stages not much later.

Oosterliefde Festival: 6 August

Liefde Festival is proud to be back with the second edition of Oosterliefde Festival 2022. On Saturday 6 August, the NYMA grounds will once again be transformed into a festival paradise! Together with the best parties from Nijmegen's nightlife, they will provide a loving experience. With hits from the past, cheerful house and disco sounds, Latin music, female-friendly hip-hop, silent disco and the best fringe events.

We love the 90’s: 27 August

Go back to your 90s at Europe's biggest 90s festival. 2 stages with the best national and international artists from the 90s.

Puur Hollands Outdoor: 28 August

Puur Hollands is the most enjoyable party in Brabant & Gelderland. The best Dutch artists provide live sing-along hits.

Het Nest Festival: 3 September

On to new adventures and an even more beautiful, warmer and bigger Nest in the Goffertpark. Five green stages for all kinds of lovers. A handmade programme, artists selected with love and much more such as: light artists, that one guy from the past, an outdoor cinema, homegrown crème de la crème, trees, good and special food, vague conversations, (hopefully) good weather, green teams, shortcuts, funny fringe programme, bad word jokes and much more...

Festival De Oversteek: 3 September

Arts festival De Oversteek traditionally kicks off the cultural season in Nijmegen North right after the summer holidays.

Het Foute Oktoberfest: 1 October

The Foute Oktoberfest will take place on Saturday 1 October 2022 in the Goffertpark! In the biggest party tent in Europe with room for 15,000 people you can party like never before with the best party artists of the moment. Are you with us? Bist du dabei?

InScience Filmfestival

InScience International Science Film Festival Nijmegen is one of the biggest science film festivals in Europe. The program most importantly consists of an overview of the best science films of the year. InScience offers a broad program, with talks, film debates, Q&A’s, meetings, and expositions on the cutting edge of science and art. During InScience, Nijmegen is changed into a meeting place for filmmakers, scientists and the audience for exchanging new insights.

Herfstdrift Festival Weekender: 25-26 November

On 25 and 26 November, Drift welcomes you on the beloved Vasim terrain! The grounds will be transformed into an industrial playground and together we will dance to the future.

Nijmeegse Winterweken

Nijmegen lives during the Christmas holidays! Cosiness, atmosphere, activities for young and old and beautiful lighting; you will find it all in the city centre during the Nijmegen Winterweken. The city is beautifully decorated with Christmas lights and grand impressive light sculptures. During these weeks, the light sculptures will be the route through the city you want to take. And you will encounter all sorts of things along the way!
