Nijmegen is easy to reach both by car (using the A325, A15 and A50 freeways) and by public transportation. In the upcoming years Nijmegen will work hard on improving accessibility even more.

By car

Rates for parking along streets are (roughly) similar to those in parking garages. At night it is cheaper to park in parking garages. A number of parking spots are intended for people parking for extended time periods; it’s only possible to pay for the entire day there. At other spots real time parking is active; you’ll pay for the actual time of being parked there. In the streets at the edge of the center an incremental parking rate is active. This improves through-flow and makes sure that those parking spots are being used as effectively as possible.

The table below shows the number of kilometres and average journey time from major cities.

From Amsterdam to Nijmegen 123 km/ 1:30 Hours
From Rotterdam to Nijmegen 108 km/1:20 Hours
From Eindhoven to Nijmegen 65 km/ 0:50 Hours
From Antwerp to Nijmegen 154 km/ 1:45 Hours

Park + Ride Waalsprinter

As a visitor to the city center of Nijmegen you could use the Waalsprinter. Drivers could leave their car at the Park + Ride and use the shuttle bus to the heart of Nijmegen in an easy, quick and cheap fashion.
